Literacy Rate
The literacy rate in Pakistan stands at around 59.13% as of 2023, with significant disparities between urban and rural areas, and between genders.
Out of School Children
22.8 million children aged 5-16 are out of school, representing 44% of the total population in this age group.
Primary Enrollment
10.7 million boys and 8.6 million girls are enrolled at the primary level.
Provincial Disparities
In Balochistan, 78% of girls are out of school; in Sindh, 52% of the poorest children are out of school, with 58% being girls.

Higher Education
